pockets & numbers

This extra-large reversible bucket was part of my contribution to a silent auction over the weekend. What made it different from all of my others was the pockets... 5 of them! Each one is numbered for better organization. Perfect for spring organizing, sorting, and decluttering...

These pockets work equally well hidden on the inside- or exposed on the exterior. Unfold the cuff of this big one for extra height and storage.

If you already have a "round bucket pattern", this pocket addition adds only a few more steps. Simply add a shorter rectangle of equal width to the lining rectangles. Hem the top edge  by rolling it over twice and sewing a 1/4" seam around the edge. Stitch vertical seams for individual pockets and then continue with all of the regular instructions. Numbers or words can be stamped or stenciled (as these were). Don't have the round bucket pattern? Find it here

  1. Oh Maya it's lovely! If I wasn't so afraid of getting it dirty, I'd make one to take out into the garden. It would be perfect for holding hand tools, sheers and a big bouquet of flowers inside!
OH or a little one with a handle for the kids to collect veggies from the garden, sorted into each pocket....too cute!
Have a wonderful day my creative friend!

  2. I am in love with this bucket. It would be perfect for my living room: I need a place for all of my blankets. The numbers are so cute.
