experimenting

Another owl... in progress.
Owls continue to swoop into my creative process. I chose to work on a bigger scale this time. It's 7 inches long and my largest stamp so far. It isn't yet complete, and I'm not even sure where it's going...but I'm enjoying relaxing and experimenting. Seeing works in progress of others is always intriguing to me, so I figured it probably was for you, too.
Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I do think owls are such beautiful birds. I named my girl Pueo because I saw so many owls out and about while I was pregnant with her. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Your sleepy owl is presiding over my knit cowls, keeping them smelling so lovely.

  2. I too love your owls and sleepy owl is on my night stand ... I give him a little squeeze every night so I can drift to sleep in lavender dreams ...

This owl is wonderful! I can't wait to see where he/she goes. You always get so much lovely detail in your stamps ... mine tend to be more "childlike" but that is probably a result of my childlike impatience!

  5. I love your owl...birds of prey fascinate me. On my walk the other day I watched a crow chase a huge hawk through the sky...both of them swooping and soaring like kites. A marvelous sight!

  6. I love this stamp! I have had making an owl stamp on my list of things to do for a while, but haven't quite gotten to it yet... i love owls, they amaze me. so graceful and statuesque! One time when I was walking in the piney part of the woods near my house, I had a snowy swoop down right in front of me, wings wide open. It was totally silent until right in front of me (which startled me!), holy cow!
