pouches and clutches

coffeesack pouches
I knew I wanted to make something new for The Squam Art Fair, so slowly over the last month I've been making a selection of zippered pouches and clutches. All the materials I used (with the exception of some red Parisian crochet trim via Sonia) were salvaged and/or vintage including the zippers, which dictated what fabrics I combined.  I truly loved this process and each one has a different personality... from the recycled coffee sacks
ticking
to the lace and linen...
linen and yarn
soft linen
purple pouch
to the bark cloth...
floral bark cloth
floral bark cloth detail
bark cloth clutch
After an epic drive, I've now made it to New Hampshire and my family here... soon I'll be heading up to the lake! Can you feel my excitement?!

  9. I love how you embellished the bags with the cotton lace and made them coordinate with fabrics that you had on hand! Gotta love re-purposing!

  12. Just like light and darkness exist together, the good and evil forces stay inside human psychology. The dark side is not the one that acts always, but when it unleashes, the thin line between right and wrong diminishes. The concerned person forgets everything, and is completely driven by the wrong pathway. Visit www.rightbooks.in/product_details.asp?pid=9780552165525 to know how it changed the life of Kevin Dodd.
