It's hot! So extremely hot. And I love it... we're staying wet and spending every moment we can outside swimming or in the shade of huge trees.
We're eating cold food or cooking out.
The clothesline is only filled with towels, table cloths and bathing suits... who needs clothes when it's 100 degrees? We're making the most of the season upon us. You, too?
And because you might be wondering: the oilcloth bunting up top was found here.
You have a beautiful yard. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lindsay. July is when it's at its very best...
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect. I really wish I was back in CT and near the ocean again. 100F heat is a killer (phew).
ReplyDeleteI think it's kind of interesting that here in Florida, it isn't abnormally hot. Despite that, though, we spend most of our days inside to avoid the mammoth mosquitoes!
ReplyDeleteI'm hiding in the cool basement, but your bee balm is spectacular! Love to see your bunting too!!! xox Corrine
ReplyDeleteI made a similar bunting for my daughters' room. I never thought about doing it in oilcloth for outside. I like it. We are also spending long hours outside. The house is just too hot.
ReplyDeleteWe are too! Frequent swimming dips at the nearby creek, outside, inside, and lots and lots of fresh salads.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of weather doesn't happy very often - we must enjoy it.
Your yard looks wonderful.
That all looks so heavenly!
ReplyDeleteLooks great.
ReplyDeleteI love your grill. We have restrictions and can't have an open fire - maybe that's why it looks so appealing to me ;)
Thanks everyone! Ella, funny you mention the grill and restrictions. We are care taking this grill for our city friends who have restrictions on open fire, themselves. My mother made those gorgeous vegetable kabobs, I really should have given her credit somewhere... sorry mom!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this summer because so far it hasn't been hot - we've been having lovely overcast weather here in Californa. I even wore a thin jacket yesterday. I'm trying to savour it as the normal hot, hot, hot is supposed to return this weekend...
ReplyDeleteI can feel heat on my skin and almost hear and smell your summer. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI'm so, so jealous of your yard!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy summer out there! It's so much fun!
Maya - you are so optimistic- I love it. I've been steaming in this heat and am so glad the heat wave has moved on! Love your yard & shade.
ReplyDeletep.s. interview with betz white on my blog.
just beautiful maya
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures, those kabobs look yummy!
ReplyDeleteI just love these photos - we holidayed in New England in August last year and looking at your yard reminds me of all the gorgeous greenery and flowers everywhere. You experience quite a different summer to mine in Australia. I love it!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks for the shout out for my party banners! Your inspiring me to tackle that neglected garden of min!
