an heirloom table runner on etsy!

Many months ago, Elizabeth contacted me with an exciting sewing project... a collaboration of sorts on a custom gift for her good friend (and fellow Squamee) who had recently gotten married. The invitation to create also included the opportunity to make a tutorial for the project to share on Etsy. Obviously, the answer was a big fat whopping YES! What a gift to both the bride and me- thank you dear, Elizabeth! She had the ingenious idea of transforming one of my Story Scarves into a table runner. Brilliant, I tell you! She sent me two special napkins to include, and then let me figure out the rest. Once the last stitch was done and final thread snipped, Thea drove (3 hours!) over to my place for a sleepover and  a photo shoot at the barn. Today it goes live... on none other than Etsy's brand new wedding blog!!!!!
Go on over and get the full story from Elizabeth and the complete instructions from me, accompanied by gorgeous Thea photography.  Click here.

Kinda feeling like a glass of bubbly right now! Cheers Elizabeth and Thea! Big congratulations to J & J!

(PS: I somehow got onto your Story Scarves email list and got the info email this morning, but I'm not signed up for your class...if only I could clone myself and take ALL the classes!!)

    1. I'll let the office know, because I just followed my list. I do hope you'll find me once we're all settled in. Perhaps in the dining hall- the easiest spot to meet up.

  2. This is so beautiful and meaningful. Now I know what to do with my vintage Portuguese table linens I inherited from my mother-in-law who passed away a few years ago. I love the way your mind works and the incredibly lovely creations that follow.
