revival

fence
I've been busy with some rebuilding of sorts... the revival of our old chicken coop has begun! It has been overrun with wild raspberries for some years, and I'm on a mission to reclaim it. I'm re-attaching rusty fencing, revitalizing rickety ramps, and reacquainting myself with all the things a few new girls might need to call this place home. Yesterday, I completed the prickly task of de-brambling... today I'm so excited to do some sawing and drilling! Any new spring projects you're tackling... or contemplating taking on?

  1. Ooh! So fun! I miss having chickens. I'm going to be doing a garden-space retooling around here. I need to find some ways to groundhog proof in hopes of avoiding another season of disappointment. If anyone has ideas, I'd love to hear them!

  2. I just installed my bees! Prettying up the coop is on the agenda, esp. because my hive is so pretty!

  3. Annie- I've missed them too! Groundhogs are a big issue around here, too. So far they haven't dug under our garden fences, but have found way to sneak into through the front gate every couple of years. Good luck.

I'd love to have a few hens to give us fresh eggs...maybe the next house?!
Enjoy your day, feathering their nests! ;o)

  7. Hey Diane,
So happy we'll get to enjoy Squam together! I always appreciate being pointed towards other burlap buckets, so thanks for the WS link. It was for just this reason that I created the pattern for everyone.
    xx
