Giveaway! new mini mag for kids: Action Pack

Have you heard the news? Kathreen, of Whip Up fame, has created something new and wonderful-  and I'm thrilled to share it with all of you! Her first edition of a new downloadable magazine for kids has just been released. It 's called Action Pack and is aimed at the 7+ crowd. I've always felt that there weren't enough enticing projects for this age group.  Action Pack hits the mark perfectly for children who want a little more independence, but need help coming up with good ideas of what to do and make. Here is their philosophy:
 - We see kids as competent, creative and capable people. We believe that our kids are resourceful and clever and we try to enable them to develop their independence and creative minds within a secure and nurturing environment.
- We see learning opportunities everywhere. Learning should and can be fun. But we also know that parents are busy and cannot realistically be spending all weekend ‘playing’ with their kids. We want kids to get off the couch, away from the computer and learn the value and fun in making and doing stuff.

My sentiments, exactly! This issue's focus is based on beeswax and origami and is beautifully done. Clear instructions and beautiful photos. Although my daughter is still only six, she has a big brother to help her. Action Pack will be a wonderful opportunity for them to:  work together, create together, bake together, and draw together.  You can read more about it here or just take a peek below...

    I work with 5-8 year old kids in an Afterschool program and am always on the lookout for cool project ideas, especially ones that relate to their real world and use natural materials. Would love to have a copy! Thanks for sharing.

    My daughter is probably slightly older than most of the target audience, but she loves quick and easy crafts... it's the only kind she likes! I think she might find this interesting, plus my 2 year old loved the photo of the bee.

    As a former Primary teacher - I say "Way to GO!!!" This is brilliant and I want to affirm Kathreen for encouraging kids to get off the couch and explore their creative side. I have two littlies that would even love doing some of the things listed (We have made boats together before), so I'm sure younger kids would also benefit if their parents have the time to explore it with them :)
