an invitation!

Welcome to a very special week at maya*made! It's time for a little impromptu circus party, and you're invited!  My wonderful friend Kathrin, of Annekata,  and I have joined forces to create a virtual celebration of our shared passions for:
  • handmade
  • sustainable
  • improvised
  • recycled
  • accessible
  • beautiful
  • delicious
  • seasonal
Each day this week  both of our sites will be filled with inspiring images, scrumptious recipes, and satisfying projects all set to the tune of a whimsical (and unconventional) make your own circus party. By week's end, you'll also be introduced to each of our brand new designs that were born from this exciting collaboration. We've had so much fun... and now you get to join in, too! Meet me back here tomorrow... and we'll run away to the circus together! Now, I'm off to do a little celebrating of my own... it's my birthday today. For real! Pin It

    Happy birthday, Maya!!! Circus!!! I LOVE a circus theme. Just went to the circus last week in fact and have a whole line of circus themed toys half way done in my studio nearly ready to share. I've been obsessed with vintage circus paraphernalia lately. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

    Happy belated Birthday! Beautiful pictures!! In the pictures I see a waist tie and possibly a head band tie. Are they upcycled old tee-shirts? They look cool and if they are, maybe you could teach us how to make them sometime. I would love to see some projects with tee shirts! Thanks!!
