we're all a bunch of lovely wips

Back by popular demand, I have several w.i.p .(works in progress) buckets that I'm putting in my shop right now. Assorted types of neutral burlap from several countries and one of a kind hand-stencils make each one as unique as we are. I won't be doing a really big shop update until some time after the 19th. I will be taking a blogging vacation until then, too. Spring break is just about here, and I'm looking forward to so many things that I've been neglecting...
playing, gardening, hiking, sewing for fun and lots of projects with my children. Thanks to Margie and Pat, the barn studio's workspace has been cleared. I've already scheduled some art play dates for my children and their friends! Have you been neglecting some of those important soul-satisfying things in your life also? What do you wish to be doing? Since we're all just "works in progress", it's never too late make different choices. Pin It

  2. Just wanted you to know I have gathered a stack of Nature books (flowers/lady bugs/other bugs/etc.) for the gathering bag that is coming to me for my grandkids. Can't wait to stock it and take it to them.

Have a wonderful playful spring break!

  3. Hello sweet you :)
Can anyone resist your fabulous WIP buckets ? I have something in the corner of my mind that I'll share with you soon.
I'll be taking a break exactly at the same time as yours. (vacations - or so-called - in the south, by our parents') What I've been neglecting recently ? Easy. My body. Wow, now I have to work on that. *Ü*
I hope you'll manage to do the things you've neglected. xoxoxo much love, sweet you.

  4. Enjoy the break Maya.

Wise words indeed from you. I think sometimes we think we're stuck on some sort of treadmill. Funny, when actually all you have to do is jump off.

  5. There are so many things to be done that something is always being neglected. I guess the trick is to learn how to accept your limitations and let go of the guilt. Easier said than done some days. But I'd love to be able to devote more time to art/craft playin' but then I'd be neglecting my kiddos...

  7. I JUST GOT MY BAG AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Forgive me for yelling, but I am that excited. The first thing I did was fill it up with my paints and pens and pencils and take a picture of my new art studio. I joke, I joke... but not really.

I will be posting about it on smallandheartfelt as soon as I kind find the time. Time is not my friend today.

    but MAYA is!

  10. I love the metaphor of the WIP bucket as my life. If I could, I would fill it with your lovely, honest words and images and take it around with me all day as I hiked the gorge and played with my kids and generally let play back into my life.

  11. I totally need one of those buckets. I have a place for the WIPs already, but the guest closet just won't seem to work anymore. Great idea!

  12. This sounds like fun... We would love to come over for a soul-satisfying arty playdate. Just book us in we will be there... Don't worry once everyone is busy we don't take up too much space and it doesn't seem too chaotic!

  19. I love these buckets so much. They have such a modern vintage look to them. Which I love. I don't knit, but I have a lot of half finished projects in the playroom. Thank you for sharing.
