Words are powerful. This bunting will be a constant reminder of one of your favorite phrases, words, or a name. Hang it indoors or out (although it won't last quite as long in heavy weather, but burlap is rugged!) This bunting will be lovingly made from burlap scraps from a recycled coffee sack. Each 4 inch square is intentionally left raw and frayed. However, edges are neatly zigzagged to prevent it from unraveling further. The letters are hand printed with nontoxic textile ink. A jute cord is sewn directly to the back for easy hanging. You'll also have your choice of these colors: black, blue, green or red.
Here are a few word suggestions to get you thinking:
grow, love, inspire, create, make, craft, goodness, lovely, handmade, welcome, home, breathe, awaken, happy
To enter in the giveaway, leave a comment, perhaps your words, and a way to reach you in this post before 2/22 at 8pm EST. The winner will be randomly selected and announced on 2/23.
Thanks for a fun and loving week- have a beautiful weekend, friends!

I think my word would be "Peaceful" and fingers crossed that it happens!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Maya,
ReplyDeleteI love the burlap bunting and made my first one last week out of old blue jeans and other extra fabric, for my son's room. His bunting has the words, "I can" with saturn and stars, because he's always saying "I can't". His birthday is next Sunday and I plan to make another one. Since I love your burlap bunting and if I gather the materials in time, I plan to make one of those. Thanks for the inspiration. ~Tameka

My word for the year is "Sparkle" but reading other's comments, the word "Gather" grabbed my heart. I would put this banner up when I celebrate the solstices with my friends. And lots of other times too, of course.

The banner is lovely! If I'm not the lucky one to win, I might just have to make one (or two...) for myself. But I'm crossing my fingers! I'm not sure what my word would be, but it would come from one of my affirmations I have been working with from the "Inside Out" e-course I'm taking... something to remind me of who I am and am becoming.
