Our green winter turned white this morning! Wahoo! Now, I wish all I had to do today was feed the fire, but there are appointments and schedules that need tending. There are windshields to be scraped and slushy roads to be traveled. Winter is gorgeous when you don't have to go anywhere. Boo.
So glad the weekend is almost here. I intend to make soup, bake cookies, play board games, and sew something cozy as soon as possible. Mmmm, doesn't that sound just right? How about you... what do you intend to do with your weekend?
GIMME DAT SNO!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete{enjoy!}
You know I have no earthly idea what this weekend will hold in store for us. The boys have a 3 day weekend but the eldest two will at the HS winter retreat so it will be my hubby, myself and our youngest at home. Maybe a little sewing and then some playing in the kitchen by way of cooking/baking and doing a little more organizing! One way or the other I am looking forward to at as my husband has worked the past 12 days straight. You would think that I would be used to it by now after 24 months of it but I don't think I ever will get completely used to the schedule.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend! Winter finally arrived for us as well but it was accompanied by ferocious winds and only a little snow (2 inches, maybe a touch more.) It still looks lovely out though! :)
That's the only problem with snow ~ getting around in it! They sold most of our snow removal equipment years ago claiming we don't get snow here, um but what about when we DO get it?! The whole city comes to a halt, and then there's the seniors that drive around with their summer tires...scary stuff!
ReplyDeleteSo cancel whatever we can, make some soup, read our books, and admire the beauty that's just outside our window! ;o)
Have a lovely weekend Maya!

Looks a lot like the view outside my window here in Southern Vermont. A butternut squash soup sort of day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow pictures. I especially like the wood pile wearing its winter blanket. This weekend my Prescott daughter will be here again, so hopefully we will be able to do some fun stuff.
ReplyDeleteoohh, i just wish wish wish it would snow here... we've had a terrible rainy and grey winter. enjoy it!!! i'm hoping for february...
ReplyDeletePretty snow pictures! We have no white stuff here in SE CT yet but it's going to be a cold & windy weekend. Soup in the crockpot, and a little baking sounds wonderful. Wish I had a fire place :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! We missed the snow and it's still brown with wind blowing dirt around. A little snow would make everything so much prettier. You're right....snow is much nicer enjoyed indoors by the fire.

Soup, cookies, games, sewing... that's my idea of a perfect weekend (with or without the snow!).
ReplyDeleteI want to be there with every once of my being. I've had it with warm winters! Tucson you're not doing it for me.
ReplyDeleteLazy Saturday-morning-at-the-library and then home with piles of new books to hot chocolate and biscuits in the oven: perfect.. I'm envious of your snow! Yes, it makes traveling a pain, but oh it makes everything so so quiet. Love it. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing! I have never in my life seen snow like that, In fact I have only ever seen snow twice and it was just a smattering on the top of a mountain in the distance!! We have been experiencing temperatures around
ReplyDelete36c all week (around 97f?)and have now just woken on Saturday morning to overcast sky and cardigan weather! Think we'll venture to the farmer's market and then spend some time with a good friend tomorrow, just catching up! Enjoy your snow!
