sponsor spotlight: Two Peas in a Pod

Good morning and hello daylight savings! Today I'm happy to share with you a little about our sponsor: Two Peas in Pod. Trish Preston is a sewing teacher and pattern designer who all also happens to be the mother of three girls. Her first two are identical twins, thus the name of her shop Two Peas in a Pod. Trish is passionate about teaching others the joy of sewing and teaches sewing workshops and creates a line of patterns, aptly named Sprouts, in honor of her third little girl. Each one is mailed to your doorstep to get you going on your next sewing project.

She also has embarked on a very exciting new adventure:

This is a new PBS series due this Summer and Trish just got home from video taping her segment. Congratulations Trish!  Here's a bit about it:
It’s Sew Easy offers a new concept to Public Television viewers. The program does not feature a main host, but is based on designers and education that revolves around the experts. The focus is on contemporary style, not age. The goal is not to stress perfection, but rather concentrate on easy ways to accomplish a great project. Projects will be easy enough for beginners but creatively challenging, combined with interesting style elements to pique the interest of all sewing enthusiasts.

I'm so excited to check it out (but will have to find a friend with a television, first).  Look for it this summer!
You can also find Trish blogging right here and sharing about the parenting of girls and her creative adventures.  I loved the details she shared on her twin's latest birthday party with a Nancy Drew theme
and this upcoming week she'll be showing us how to use up scraps to make these spring blossoms. Thanks so much, Trish. It's so nice to have you here!

  2. It's always nice to see people "demystifying" home sewing and getting it back in the public eye. I hope the series goes over really well!
