tea & toast
I didn't expect this to be my Monday photo, but my daughter came down with a whopping virus yesterday. All of my plans for this week will remain up in the air, until I can nurse this wee one back to her usual healthy self. It's the beginning of cold and flu season in our neck of the woods, so I'm stocking up on our favorite comforts and immune supporting supplies. I thought I'd share my favorite "go to" books for children's health and natural home remedies for common illnesses. You can easily go google symptoms, but I'm a bit old school and I like turning to my well-worn references for help.

I'm thrilled with the response my burlap buckets have gotten... what wonderful reception!
They sold out over the weekend, and I'm getting tons of requests for more. I just added one more large and three small (in linen) to the shop. I'll continue to update you as I try to keep up with the demand, while maintaining a healthy balance in the other important areas of my life.
I also have a list of wonderful items to make for the holidays... some for the shop and some for you to try at home. Stay tuned... we're in for some fun!
And here comes the snow... we got our first dusting today! Wishing you good health.
Maya- I hope your little one feels better soon. And congrats on the success of your store! Your stuff is so great.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your little one is sick, I just recently refilled all of our winter flu season tinctures and homeopathic remedies (they make children's Oscillococcinum now!) Your photo did remind me that I need some throat coat.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon kidlet!
hear that your shop is going well! I keep wanting to open my own but I think I'll need to free up a bit of time before that dream becomes reality :) Really, though, your stuff is lovely!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the little one--I do believe that I had that very same virus (okay, maybe not exactly the same, but awful!) and it was such a downer! Hope she's over it soon-and keeps it to herself!
I wish you little one a quick recovery which I am sure is likely with all that good stuff and the tender loving care you are delivering. Don't forget that laughter stimulates the immune system so take some time to read her a funny story or share some jokes. Your handmade items are so wonderful , natural and functional it is no wonder at all that they are selling like hot cakes.

ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you Maya! I wish that the currency change wasn't so disfavorable for me, because I really would like to contribute to your lovely shop buying one of these... I will see how it goes for me and then see if I can save some money, who knows!
ReplyDeleteI just realized that the post about your daughter being sick was the same one of the containers... So, I hope she gets well soon, so we can all play and read good books together by he fire, eating some homemade yummyness and cuddlind under a quilt.
