heart map
Imagine if we each had maps for our hearts. You could navigate a course that avoided dead ends, take short cuts to your destinations, or choose to take the scenic route if you had the desire. There would be no getting lost...and if you did, you could still find your way home.
I'm working on a Valentine's Day window installation for a shop in town (Ithacamade). I've been stitching up all different sized stuffed paper hearts using maps of Ithaca. Paper sewing is one of my favorites, and this couldn't be more fitting for exactly where I am right now. As much as a map would give me a sense of direction, I'm finding my way with my own internal GPS. It's pointing me in one clear direction: forward.
There's a new post up at Honoring Hope for those following...

Thanks for telling me Pammie. It's been remedied!
DeleteI've always been fascinated by the notion of maps ... and charts ... I love these sewn map hearts (did you know I am working on a online gathering about HeartFull Living? So we - my girl and I - have been making all kinds of hearts and I've been thinking so much about this amazing muscle/energy center and all that it holds/inspires/transforms/transmutes) If I may, I might expand upon this idea for a craft idea in the group (giving you credit, of course!) Something really powerful there ...
ReplyDeleteblessings my Hope-filled friend! xo
Yes, you and your full heart, my dear need to share your wisdom. So glad that you are! Of course, you should most definitely use this as itself or a springboard to something more. xox
