Reinvention was written with the high hopes of inspiring others to seek out materials that needed rescuing. I've teamed up with one of my favorite sewing sites: Sew, Mama, Sew! to create a challenge that jump starts your summer crafting with the motivation to use what's already have on hand. Use one or more of the seven materials in the book for your own sewing project (linen, burlap, jersey, wool, denim, mailers + “vintage”). Can it be something that was done recently? I found a pair of plaid golf pants at Goodwill and made them into a bag complete with recycled buttons and a fabric flower (it was from a scrap I won in a giveaway.)
