Happy Mother's Day!

3 generations 1971, San Francisco Valencia St?
Mom, Bev (my sweet grandmother) and me on our way to Baker Beach- 1971 The Mission, San Francisco
Motherhood: it is the never-ending journey I am so grateful to be on. Today and every day I am grateful for the beautiful role models that have guided me... and continue to hold my hand when I need them. Pin It

  1. I love how bundled up San Franciscans get when going to the beach. I think that liquor/grocery store still has the same sign:)

  2. Wow Maya I love this photograph! And one can really feel the love between those three generations. Beautiful. Happy Mother's Day to you, you're such an inspiration.

  3. Awww what a sweet sweet photograph, I just love the history steeped in it !!!! Beautiful!!! And Happy Mother's Day from the far side of the world...

  4. That is a really awesome photo! It really captures the pure beauty and essence of women in the 70's! Thanks for sharing and Happy Mother's Day!

  5. This is too funny for me. Your mom looks just like I did in 1971! Every girl in my high school graduating class had that hair style. I was one of the lucky ones with naturally straight hair. Oddly enough, even though my hair is now pixie short with plenty of gray, my co-workers still refer to me as the "hippie." Must be an attitude!
