What are those tiny purple flowers at the top? We have them too, and my three year old son has been making "blueberry soup" with them this week. He's beheaded all of them in our front yard :)
Oh I'm glad Spring finally arrived up there for you! Yay for no more snow! This week, we "spotted" the Easter Dragon! http://www.river-girl.com Enjoy Maya!
After a plethora of yellows and blues, we are just starting to get some serious pinks (camelias, magnolias and rhodos), purples (lilacs and pansies) and whites (blackthorn, apple blossom). I love this time of year. My favourite colour this week is the bright, bright green of the new leaves on the beech trees with the sunlight shining through them.
Those muscari are so lovely! Our bearded iris just popped this morning and our camellias in lipstick pink are in full bloom. What I'm most excited about though is yellow... our first tomato blossom! Yea!
So pretty Maya! Sydney has been sporting grey, and the red of autumn leaves this past week... it's been raining for over a week now. Went to Canberra over the weekend - BLUE! Blue skys, blue(-ish) lakes, lots of pretty autumn colours, and the sunshine... ooohhh the sunshine!!! :)
WHAT GLORIOUS, COLOURFUL PHOTOS.. everything here is still grey/brown/ick... but at least it is that and not white like it was only a few weeks ago.. heh... I look forward to June

ReplyDeleteOh thank you for the lovely color tour! simply lovely. Happy spring to you.
ReplyDeleteYour blooms are amazing. The only colors here so far are green with hints of yellow daffodils about to pop.
ReplyDeleteCrystal- those purples are grape hyacinth or Muscari and they have a wonderful scent, don't they? Blueberry soup is a perfect thing to make with them.
ReplyDeleteI have been noticing lots of yellow here. With squash, tomatoes and cucumbers all in bloom there is yellow everywhere. Have a great spring weekend!
