"I've been waiting my whole life for this to happen!" she gushed as she peered into the mirror to inspect the miracle of her first (slightly) loose tooth.
current favorite outfit spotted multiple times each week:
-pants/leggings: reinvented from an extra large Tee
-dandelion tunic: silk oak
-bare feet: courtesy of the wood stove
TOO precious!
ReplyDelete(Although I have to admit that there is something about loose teeth that gives me the shivers. Something that I hopefully have a few years to get over before teeth are being twisted and turned in the reflection of mirrors in our house.)
Oh, Maya. This made me smile. It is just the sweetest. xo
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful girl!
aww bless. Harrison has just lost his second tooth. And has not stopped bouncing around because of it. bless.
ReplyDeleteaww how sweet, Maya, moments to cherish :)
ReplyDeletehow cute is that?!
ReplyDeleteOh darling!!! Sweet, sweet , sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteso darn cute. I catch my 11 year old saying the "my whole life....." quotes once in awhile and it is so sweet. But time did seem to go by slower in those childhood days...yes?
ReplyDeleteI love that! (We have a first tooth that is almost ready .... )
ReplyDeleteThat is so adorable. I love these little picture posts! Thank you for sharing Maya.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Why can't we all hang onto that sense of wonder and joy?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
My boy is 5 and 1/2, and he checks every single day!
ReplyDeleteAdorable. My 5 year old was at the dentist the other day and they told her that her bottom middle 2 teeth are a little loose! Wow! She is so excited. I mean they are BARELy loose...could be another year! But she is now obsessed with keeping those teeth clean for the tooth fairy. "Is this food healthy mommy? I have to keep my teeth clean." Love it!
ReplyDeleteMaya, you and your family are such an inspiration for me and mine. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteawe so so sweet! happy day!
ReplyDeleteI love how passionate children are about life. What a wonderful mile stone to have reached.
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
Tracey
oh my, her WHOLE LIFE! So sweet Maya :)
ReplyDeletesweet!
ReplyDeleteOh bless, Maya. This is an expression that my six-year-old son uses very regularly and I love it every time. Especially when it's things like 'I've been waiting my whole life to have pancakes for breakfast' (or at least, since last weekend when we also had pancakes for breakfast?) or 'I've been waiting my whole life to get a star wars lego set' (oh yes, that's exactly what you wanted when you were two...) Makes me laugh so much. x
ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of the habit blog! So perfectly captured this moment ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see that mine is not the only 5 year old checking daily for any hint of a loose tooth. I'm just glad that her brother finally has some front teeth again.
ReplyDeleteMy great aunt told a story about accidentally dropping a couple of eggs on her kitchen floor. Her three year old looked down at the mess and said sorrowfully, "I've wanted to do that my whole life."
ReplyDeleteWhat happens at your house when the teeth come out? I had sooo much fun making tiny footprints using playdough for the foot-shaped stamps and shiny eyeshadow for the "ink." You can see the picture here:
