a thank you giveaway!

giveaway time
I have been wanting to offer one of my handmade giveaways for so long! Your enthusiastic reception of my upcoming book was a good reminder to finally get to it.  All of that spool love cinched the deal. So, I made a bucket for one of you... a smaller version of the one in our sun room.  I filled it with things that I love and thought you might, too. Here's what's inside:
  • an assortment of vintage spools
  • a hand stamped "reminder" stone (collected at our lake in the summer)
  • Mary Oliver's poem Wild Geese... to go with the stone
  • and a handmade notebook
giveaway
I've been making notebooks with paper scraps and binding them on my machine for the last few weeks. A quick satisfying project- and I'll share how to next week.

Please leave a comment below before Sunday, February 27th at 5pm. Comments are now closed. I'll announce the random winner on Monday morning. I will ship anywhere in the world. Wishing I could send a bucket to everyone, but you know that! Pin It

  49. Your blog has been a great source of inspiration for me, but over the past few weeks it has become a source of solace and a reminder of the simple joys that I once shared with my grandmother and god father who I lost this month. The loss of these two people who shaped my very earliest memories has brought me to a place of reflection and evaluation of my priorities and what I chose to spend my time doing. I plan on bringing back some of the activities I cherished when I spent time with them to share them with my children and to start some new as introduced by you. Thank you.

I love the bucket and the spools remind me of a side table in my grandmother's living room.On each side is a glass door and storage for thread spools. I'm sure there is an official name for such a table, but I have loved that thing since I was a child. Thank you for your appreciation of the simple things!
