Strawberry season has begun! All year we wait for this moment. We have a no-spray you-pick strawberry farm up the road from us. Heaven! We freeze them, jam them, pie them, crepe them, shortcake them... and we eat them... 'til we about burst. This will go on for several more weeks: mmm! the taste of summer's arrival. If you're up to your ears in strawberries, don't forget this recipe from last year.
What's ripe in your neighborhood?
Berries are here, too! We waffle'd them this morning...
ReplyDeleteLast night soaked oats, sprouted buckwheat, and brown rice in hemp milk, apple cider vinegar and coconut oil in the food processor...
This morning, added an egg, some baking soda, and sea salt...
Gave the mixture some whirls...
Made waffles...
Topped with lotsa berries cooked down into a sauce (with some frozen raspberries, ginger juice, and honey).
YUM!
not quite yet, a few weeks and they should be ready! can't wait! yours look scrumptious enought to eat
