containing your stuff

I'm always on the look out for new ways to keep my home organized. I'm a container junkie. If you've been hanging out with me for a while, you know how much I love buckets (galvanized steel, to be exact). Even more than a good ol' bucket, I love repurposing rescued materials. With my new found love for recycling coffee sacks, this was the inevitable next step. Burlap buckets ! I'm thrilled to introduce you to the beginning of my line of cloth containers...



The large ones can hold 4 rolled bath towels, for a nice addition to your bathroom...

books and magazine by your bedside...


a bushel of blocks in the playroom.


I'm sure you can come up with 100 other uses, they're just the right size and very sturdy. Each one is lined with linen or a natural cotton twill (recycled!).

The small size is perfect for sorting little toys...


or holding something special on your crafting table...


This medium bucket is being coveted by my husband for keys, phone, etc.


I love the thought of bringing it into the kitchen.


These four new buckets will be available in my shop by this afternoon... with more to come next week. I'll be spending a portion of this weekend making some for myself, too! I really need to sort out some toys . What will you be up to this weekend?

    i think i'll be nesting some more this weekend, and i think i need some containers for all the stuff...but we haven't got paypall or visa anymore, i'll ask my husband if he knows any solutions..

    Those are awesome! That's a neat way to use those coffee sacks! My father in law made a memo board from one.

    I love cloth buckets! I've made many and use them all around the house but yours just look so rustic and homey, they're my favourite. I only wish I could get my hands on coffee sacks down here.

    I was thinking of you on the plane yesterday. I flew with Delta and the airline's magazine is all about coffee this month. The had a little photo of bags made from recycled coffee sacks. They should have all your stuff in the magazine!

    Hi!, I just wanted to congratulate you because of your great ideas with those bags (I don´t know the correct word in English,sorry).I think that those are some excellent ideas not just for decoration, but also for recycling.

    love the baskets! one can never have too many containers, though i'm trying to retrain myself to have less stuff to contain. it's not going so well.

    they are fantastic.. I love them.. I love that they are made from coffee sacks... I wish I had some coffee sacks and a sewign machine, and the skills to sew with a machine, (my sewing skills are um barely existant)

    Those are perfect! Of course I missed them before they were snapped up in your shop. I'll be checking back for more. We used clementine boxes for most toys, but it's nice to have something with handles to make the containers a little more portable.
