Then I had a child. I simplified some more. I stopped wearing all but my wedding band. This has gone on for 11 years, with only an occasional bit of mild bling for special occasions, or a borrowed bauble from my mom now and then. But now, now I'm finally ready. I decided that I want to wear something simple and delicate that makes me feel strong and beautiful.

I haven't found that piece that I could wear all the time. This one is so lovely. And I like the sentiments.... a little reminder to be still in the madness. ReplyDelete"Be Still & Know" was a song I listened to following repeated miscarriages. My son is currently 8. This song still hold a special place in my heart for it provided me with much peace during our loss & hope in God's faithfulness. I'd wear this necklace as a physical reminder of where I was & where God has taken me.

i totally get what you mean about long-lost love. since i've had babies for going on 8 years, it's been almost non-existent in my wardrobe. lisa makes beautiful & simple pieces, just like i like.
