tp cat puppet

Making tp puppets
A toilet paper tube, a pen and a pair of scissors are all you need to make a sweet puppet. Add some stitching and a wash of water color for some extra fanciness. I've seen many wonderful versions of tp tube animals floating around the web, and have been meaning to try my hand at it. I invited my daughter to collaborate... no surprise that our first puppet went in the feline direction. I've prepped several more with various shaped ears and am so curious to see what kind of menagerie we create.

  1. that is the funniest, cutest, most unusual bloggie goodie I've seen this morning! Thank you! I know what my eight year old will be doing today- she has a toilet paper tube craft obsession that is usually a lot messier than puppets!

  3. I always feel terrible throwing out my empty TP rolls. They are just screaming to be crafted into something :). You sure came up with a wonderfully cute and clever use for them!

  6. I took a day off to plant the garden and hang out with my four-year-old, and I'm seeing a TP puppet making party creep onto the agenda. Thanks for the great idea!

  10. This is one amazing artwork because it does not only help develop the creative minds of children but it also provides a great way of recycling things. While this is a good simple project for children however, it certainly requires the supervision of older people especially with the sewing part. Anyway, thank you for sharing this.
